Mike Trees
Sports
has been a central part of Mike's life for over
25-years and he never tires of discovering just
how much we can achieve when focused on our goals.
Whether you are looking to improve a personal best
time or gain world ranking qualification, Mike can
help you meet and exceed your goals and perform
at your peak.
As an ex-professional athlete and a coach to olympic
teams and athlete's, he has a comprehensive knowledge
of sports coaching and athletic physiology that
will help you learn from his many experiences, be
it in competition or recovering from injury (and
avoiding injuries!).
In addition to coaching athletes, he is also a regular
writer for both running and triathlon magazines
as well as a contributor to the leading triathlon
and running websites. During early 2009, he trained
and prepared for the London Marathon and detailed
his preparations in a training blog that was a 'must-read'
for hundreds of people. Now you can benefit from
his tailored 1-to-1 coaching programmes.
Mike's sporting achievements include: World Champion
2004 Masters World Champion (10,000m running), 1994
Ironman Japan 8hours 52mins (British record), Multiple
National Triathlon and Duathlon Champion (Britain
and Japan) 1991-2002 and 1983 British Universities
1,500m Champion.
Mike was the Manager of the British Duathlon Team
2008, he was also the Manager of the British Elite
Duathlon Team; 2001-2005: Personal Coaching and
Sports Consulting and University Lecturing; 1996-2001:
Head coach of Triathlon Team Teikei, Japan Coaching
many professional athletes including, Kiyomi Niwata
(Olympian), Tayama (Olympian), Chiharu Chiba, Masahiro
Matsumaru(Japanese long distance triathlon champions);
1991-1996- Head coach of Triathlon Team Nicos (
Coaching 3 national Champions).
Richard Stannard

Ten-time winner of the swim leg of the London Triathlon
and Double World Aquathlon Champion, Richard Stannard
can offer you exclusive tuition in the art of open
water swimming.
Richard was British Triathlon Champion in 2001,
Aquathlon World Champion in 2003 and 2006 and Biathle
World Champion in 2005 and 2007. In October 09 Richard
broke two European and five British Masters Records
at the British Gas ASA Masters & Senior Age Group
Swimming Championships in Sheffield.
He competed in five events, the 1500m, 800m, 400m,
200m Freestyle and the 200m Butterfly. Richard took
Gold and set Records in every event! Richard wears
the award winning 2XU V:1 wetsuit.
Stephen Farrell
Stephen
Farrell has 25 years of triathlon experience. He
was New Zealand's fastest Ironman athlete in the
mid 90's. His best New Zealand Ironman result was
2nd in 1996. He won the 40 -44 age group in Ironman
New Zealand 2004 to finish 11th overall.
He studied Physical Training for 5 years at the
New Zealand Military “Physical Education and Recreational
Training School” in Wigram and the Royal New Zealand
Police College. He is the head coach for North Harbour
Triathlon Club and was High Performance Director
for Triathlon New Zealand from 2004 to 2008.

Alex Drummond
Alex Drummond B.Sc(hons) MCSP GSR Sports Physiotherapist
& Sports Trainer
Alex is Clinical Director of the Drummond Clinic
& Sportsfeet UK. With 14 years experience in Physical
Therapy and Exercise Conditioning he is well placed
to offer useful advice on running and triathlon.
As consultant to Mike Trees Training and Drummond
Running Workshops, Alex provides the scientific,
clinical and functional movement advice.
Alex Also writes for Run 24/7, Ladies Running Magazine
& Fitness Professionals Magazine.
Being an outdoors person, his active interests involve
Running, Triathlon (on and off road), Mountain Biking,
Mountaineering, Skiing (Downhill, Telemark & Cross
Country) and Kitesurfing to name a few.
Chris Chamberlin
Chris
first raced a Triathlon in 1993 and has yet to kick
the habit, enjoying every moment in the sport. He
first raced at domestic elite level in 1999 coming
7th in the British elite grand prix that year. He
rides on the track, competes in Masters swimming,
time-trialling and runs at all distances. Endurance,
water, mountains and espresso (together) are real
passions.
He has an exercise science background and is a former
lecturer at Royal Holloway University College. Physiology
and Biomechanics are fundamental to his coaching
- do less, do it better; be strong, be skilled and
efficient. He is a member of the United Kingdom
Strength and Conditioning Association and works
to ensure that athletes are physically prepared
for endurance training, taking the long term view
of injury resistance and longevity. Chris is also
a member of the British Assosiation of Sport and
Exercise Sciences (BASES)
He runs a pure technique swimming clinic in Salisbury
and works extensively on strength and technical
training for all the disciplines in Triathlon. Chris
encourages as much phone and personal contact as
possible as part of his work with athletes, advising
how to train intelligently and how to move well.
